Tesla lines up $30B in credit facilities, none drawn

On Sept. 29, Tesla signed three credit agreements totaling $30 billion, according to an 8-K filed that day: a $20 billion three-year delayed-draw term loan with Citibank as agent, plus $8 billion five-year and $2 billion 364-day revolvers with Wells Fargo as agent, expandable by up to $4 billion.

What happened

No loans were outstanding, and Tesla "does not currently plan to draw on the facilities in 2026."

The money may be used "for general corporate purposes"; no specific project is named.

Tesla also ended its undrawn $5 billion 2023 revolver.
