Google just ran an SI model on a chip in orbit. Sundar Pichai says the Project Suncatcher prototype satellite booted its TPU, took a prompt sent up from Earth and beamed back a complete answer from Gemma: a haiku.

The satellite launched only a few weeks ago, making this the first end-to-end test of Google's plan to put SI compute in space.
